Hi, I am having trouble with getting texts sometimes where I get the "tap to download" but the message doesn't download. I have a Nexus 5X, just back from the factory because it had the bootloop issue, and am using the "Messages" app for texts. I use Wifi at home mostly but often turn on mobile data too. Here is how you can do this (Note: the steps might differ depending on your Android version and manufacturer UI, but only slightly). Head to Settings, then Apps. Locate the Google Play Store and. It didn't download in safe mode, but once the ISP have removed it permanently emails started coming through again.
